How Do I Use Coffee To Be More Productive
I think we have to call this miraculous drink a productivity fuel. I don’t know how you could deal with drinking coffee and being idle next.
Personally, when I take a sip of this dark bitter beverage, I cannot stand sitting somewhere indolently. Though, it somehow makes it impossible for you to be lazy. I mean the caffeine of it is high enough to make you want to do something. So productivity is nearly inevitable.
So, let me tell you how I utilize this serotonin-inducing miracle to be more productive:
1. Writing
I love writing. But sometimes, writing is a pain in the arse. Sometimes you’re out of ideas. Sometimes, you have the idea but don’t know how to start and how to make it visible to the audience. At this moment, an Americano could come in handy. Like yesterday, I was at the gym drinking my coffee to get ready for a pleasantly excruciating training session when I suddenly got an idea about writing something. I immediately picked up my phone and wrote it down. Then I published it on my Medium account (Check out “The Lasso Way” ). Or sometimes, I know what’s the idea, and I know how to write it, but I just procrastinate it. Though when I drink my coffee (always bitter), I have enough happy hormones in my body to make me excited about sitting down to write. And I specifically drink an Americano. Why do you think that is? Because its has water; so, more volume. Therefore, I could take small sips of it when writing and receiving the effects of caffeine more slowly and enjoy drinking for more time. And just having coffee around makes me more motivated.
2. Training
What could be better than a horrifyingly bitter coffee to start training?
Nothing, actually. It makes a huge difference. When you drink coffee, your blood pressure goes up. There is more blood circulating in your body.
Your heart is pumping, piercing your chest. You feel a bit, or maybe a lot, jittery. And what could be better than a high-intensity training session to use that blood-pumping heart and calm down those jittery butterflies in your stomach?
Oh, and btw, pour some ginger water into your coffee and be ready to conquer the limits of your physicality!
3. Confidence in social contexts
aren’t you more productive when you feel more confident internally?
I don’t actually do this one. It just happens itself. So it’s the easiest one. I drink my bitter friend, and he does everything. The reason is the hormones. It stimulates the production of dopamine and serotonin. They make you happy, and when you’re happy, you feel more confident. When you are more confident, you could talk more, feel good when you’re around people, and overall, become a better version of yourself.
I have to say that I don’t necessarily drink coffee whenever I have to show up in a socially demanding place. But if I happened to be in such a situation and had already drunk a cup of coffee, I would enjoy the effects.
